Do you offer in-person and video visits?

Yes, Dr. Sadikovic offers both in-person and video visits. With the exception of the annual comprehensive exam, which is best done in person (some neurological complaints can have initial evaluation via video), the rest of the appointments can be done via video. For the ultimate in care, our Platinum membership includes in-home visits.

What does the membership fee cover?

Your membership covers all office visits, advanced digital cognitive screenings, and direct communication with your doctor. There are no co-pays or hidden fees.

Is the membership fee tax-deductible?

In many cases, membership fees can be paid using a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA), as they are considered a legitimate medical expense. We recommend consulting with your tax professional or benefits coordinator to confirm how this applies to your specific plan.

Do you take insurance?

We are an insurance-free practice. This allows us to spend more time with you and use the latest diagnostic tools without third-party restrictions. We can provide "superbills" for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

How does the membership model work with my insurance?

Direct Neurology operates on a "Direct Specialty Care" model. This means we do not contract with insurance companies for our membership fees. This allows us to focus entirely on your medical needs rather than insurance-mandated time limits. However, your insurance can still be used for outside services like blood work, imaging (MRIs/CTs), and prescriptions, just as it always has.

Does this replace my health insurance?

No. We recommend that all members maintain a health insurance policy (PPO, HMO, or Medicare) to cover costs outside of our clinic, such as hospitalizations, emergency room visits, and specialized testing performed at external facilities.

I have a PPO plan. Can I get reimbursed?

Possibly. While we are "out-of-network" for all insurance plans, we can provide you with a superbill (a detailed receipt with medical codes) upon request. You may be able to submit this to your PPO insurance provider for potential reimbursement, depending on your "out-of-network" benefits. We recommend calling your carrier to confirm your specific coverage.

How does this work with Medicare?

Our practice has not "opted out" of Medicare. This means that federal law does not prohibits us from billing Medicare for our services, however patients cannot seek reimbursement from Medicare for the membership fee since membership fee and medicare cover different parts of your overall care. That said, Medicare will still cover your labs, imaging, and medications ordered by our office, as well as any care you receive from other doctors or hospitals.

How does concierge-based membership care differ from a regular doctor, hospital, or an urgent care facility?

Direct Neurology is not an urgent care center - if you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911. Our membership model is focused on your comprehensive health and we do so with providing you access to routine preventive care. Unlike insurance-based clinics, we can take the time to understand all your health concerns, and make a comprehensive plan to address them, free from the limitations placed by corporate insurers.

The exam services we offer take a proactive approach to neurology and focus on neurological condition prevention, assessment, and management proactively rather then reacting to problems after they have occurred. We strive to keep you healthy through prevention rather then reacting to disease states.

Can I still see my other doctors?

Absolutely. We often collaborate with primary care physicians and other specialists to ensure your neurological plan integrates perfectly with your overall healthcare.

What if I need to see a different specialist or go to the hospital?

Your membership covers all neurological care provided directly by our clinic. If you require a different specialist (like a cardiologist or physical therapist) or hospital care, your traditional insurance will apply to those services as usual. We will work closely with your other providers to ensure your care is seamlessly coordinated.
